Hello i am just wondering how mutch difrence it can make between XLR cabels. will a Chord Chorus2 www.chord.co.uk/products.php?pg=104 (there is a XLR version) be better then the EMO XLR cabel ? The Chord is 550$ ( can get it for 350) or can i get the same sound from the Emotiva XLR 35$. so will a cabel 10 times more expencive give me a mutch better sound? (i will have XMC-1 XPA-2 or UPA-1 and speakers are kef XQ40)

IMO do not waste your money, you likely will not hear much if any difference versus a $10 XLR or indeed a $10 RCA cable. You can get a whole UPA-1 amp for the cost of that cable - think about that for a minute. The Emotiva cables are nicely dressed, so you pay a reasonable price for the "look of it" versus other cables at silly prices. If your cables will not be visible, you don't even need to buy nice looking ones. It's a "mic" cable but should be OK I think. for a little more: www.thomann.de/ie/cordial_cpd_10_fm.htm If you want the "dressed" look, just buy a roll of fancy cable sleeve and some heat-shrink and you can make them look pretty.
