Lucky you. And you are complaining? Hmmmm
I got an email first thing today, announcing the shipment of my XDA-1. (2/15) just like they said they would - I was impressed. I would take an early delivery anyday.
Although I do agree that if you didnt get an email the logistics (since signature is reqd) go for a loop. Although fedex does come around a few times to retry so it should be ok.
But still, you're getting yours early. Me muchos jealous.....

Definitely need the tracking info. Experience tells me that FedEx ground onli finds my house about 40% of the time.

I'm not quite getting the "Subject Heading". Why should the buyer beware??? As for an e-mail from Emotiva that they shipped your XDA-1, maybe it got sorted to your "spam" file in your e-mail? Did you put their e-mail address in your address book so it would not go to a spam/junk file? On all 9 or 10 of my purchases from Emotiva, I've always received an e-mail with a shipping notice, maybe this was just an oversite on their part. Check your spam/junk email folders, if you haven't already.

I guess when they said shipping on 2/15 they meant delivered on 2/15. I missed the FedEx man by 15 minutes. I sure wish Emotiva would of sent me a tracking # so I would of known that it was "Out For Delivery" today. I sure will be waiting here tomorrow when they redeliver. Outrageous! Having to wait until the day you originally expected? I'll be returning mine immediately. (Although a tracking number would be nice...I was charged Monday the 14th and don't know whether it went out Friday, yesterday, etc.)

My card was charged on the 14th as well and I also did not get an email. You can find your tracking information by using the 'Track by Reference' function on the Fedex website. Use the reference word 'XDA-1', plug in your destination country & zip code, and the current status is displayed. Mine is showing it was picked up by Fedex on the 14th, delivery on the 16th, and a signature is required.

GMan, thanks for the tip. I didn't get an email either, but I looked it up per your directions and mine is due to be delivered Thursday!
School's out on vacation this week so I'll be here to get it.

Gee people love the sensational headlines on this forum. What instantly springs to mind when you read a headline like this? Everything but what the actual post is about.
Anyway..............

I was charged on 2/14 and received the email with tracking number the same day. I also got an email from FedEx with my tracking number in it.
I don't know what happened to yours, but I got plenty of notification.

You can find your tracking information by using the 'Track by Reference' function on the Fedex website. Use the reference word 'XDA-1', plug in your destination country & zip code, and the current status is displayed. Wow, that's awesome. Mine went out Monday and arrives today. I never knew FedEx had this functionality--figured there are too many millions of packages, but I suppose there can't be that many XDAs coming to my zip code. I tried with "Amazon", to downtown Chicago's zip code, and it took forever and then told me it couldn't find anything. I figured with how many packages they must send here, and the fact that the ship date is +/- 15 days, my computer would probably just explode.

^^^It should work with Amazon as well. You just need to know what reference value to use. Some companies use an invoice #, Emotiva uses the package contents. If you can find a previous Fedex shipment from Amazon, look at it's status to see what Amazon uses.

If "XDA-1" for the reference doesn't work, try "XDA1." I tried what GMan said and leaving off the "dash" made the difference.

Well, using the "track by reference" method as described, I discovered that mine will be delivered today. My CC was charged on the 11th and I received neither the shipping/tracking info nor the receipt... Since I'm quite familiar with Emo's "Signature Required" policy, I always have my orders shipped to work whenever possible... so I'll be expecting mine today. ;D Don't know why so many of us didn't receive these emails, but I can understand the inconvenience to those who may need the advanced notice to make the arrangements necessary to receive the shipment.

Geez!
Buyer Beware??
That's not very nice...
How about, I wonder what happened to my tracking advice??
Every order should automatically receive tracking advice. Let me look into this.
Happy listening! Big Dan

The "Buyer Beware" is harsh but I must say I am one that got affected by the non-notification. Email is neither in my inbox or spam box. Normally I'm home at 12 noon everyday but today I went elsewhere and was greeted with a Fed-Ex ticket that read 12:17 pm. I could drive to the Fed-Ex office to pick it up myself but that would end up being a 1 1/2 to 2 hour round trip. Oh well, what's one more day...

The thread title does bring attention to the OP's issue but my 1st thought when reading it was "Oh no, something is wrong with the XDA-1 and more Emo bashing will occur." Something along the lines of Heads up. Missing FedEx tracking on XDA order. Help!! would have been more appropriate. I know its boring but I think its a lot better than Buyer Beware!.
The thread about What happened to this forum? keeps coming to mind to me now.
