Has anyone used the M2Tech HiFace USB converter with XDA-1 in order to get a higher sampling rate. My laptop usb output is limited to 16bit 44kHz Thanks

I was thinking about doing the same. Computer Audiophile said when using the hiface, it made his system sound like cotton was in his ears. Emotiva's site says nothing about usb being limited to 16 bit.

See my response in the XDA with 24 bit files link. Trust your ears the use of the hiFace may be dependent on your system. I am happy with the HiFace and happier with the hiFace Evo. Staging, depth and texture very good with both but a standout with the Evo however that costs more than the XDA. Still a bargain as the XDA is very good with Spidif and optical. Good luck.
