I hooked up and ran the Ultra 12 Sub this morning. I have to admit, I'm not sure I'm calibrating it correctly yet. I'm not use to bass going so low. My last system was a Bose Acousti-'mess' 15. The latest system is the five Def Tech Mythos 2s, and a Polk DSW MicroPro1000 Sub. It only has an 8" driver w/a Quad 8" bass radiator. It seemed to have solid bass, but now I'm not sure. I'm going to try to have both working together, once I get the Polk fixed.(Polk sent me TWO amps, only needed one. Now they're sending the driver itself). I hope I can use the two together. I've got a feeling I'm going to love this Ultra 12. The reason I say this, is because I notice more in the upper range now. I guess since the Emo sub goes so low, the higher end range seems to come out more. Does this make sense?

Glad to see you like the 12. You're probably experiencing a better frequency balance with the Emo hence the improvement in both the upper and lower bass.

Oh, you're right Geebo. The more I listen to the Ultra 12, the more I really understand the importance deep lows and the upper ranges working together.

My Ultra 12 sounded best after I EQ'd it with Room EQ Wizard. Made a huge difference.
