What is the best way to hook-up the XDA-1 to an Oppo BDP93? Can I have the HDMI from the Oppo connected to my Preamp/processor for BluRays and Coax from the Oppo to the XDA-1 and then RCA L/R output to the analog in on my preamp/processor for CD's. This would be played in pure direct mode to eliminate any processing.
I do not believe having them connected at the same time is a problem.
Advice appreciated.
Looking for best CD 2 ch. sound possible.

For video, I use a hdmi cable from my player to my receiver. |

The Oppo manual says it only supplies SACD quality out the HDMI or analog outs. If the digital outs are used, either coaxial or optical, it would be a standard signal, not SACD. Is this true? How much difference would it make in quality for 2-channel music?

Hi guys,
Please ignore my ignorance... so do you need XDA-1 in order to connect an oppo 93 to a pre amp to play CD's and so movies etc can use my stereo for audio?
I have oppo93, unico PRE
