Interesting read but my ears disagree. Compare an Emotiva X series cable and a Pangea AC14 and tell me they don't sound different. There's "science" with both sides of this argument, read Shunyata's website info for example. I was skeptical too, so I tried, and heard clear differences. Don't believe me and don't believe them, try it and make your own determination.

The truth is: If any cable at any price, adds to or subtract from the signal, it is not a good cable. It needs to be tossed. A good cable does not interfere with the signal. And that is true whether it is an interconnect or speaker cable. If fact, great system adds only amplification to the signal and sends it to the speaker.

I call it audio somatization. In the sense that there is no objective, scientific validation for what is claimed to be truly heard. Its all in the mind where only the hearer can access.
