Would a better transport make the xda1 sound better ? I'm running a denon 2900 currently and considering an erc-2

The XDA-1 and ERC-2 has the same chip set. So if you ran the ERC into the XDA it would be a waste unless you had other digital sources.

The XDA-1 works the best with older cd players since newer ones have great chips. I use my XDA-1 with my MacBook Pro. Great results too
