On Netflix "The Real Dirt on Farmer John" Wonderful movie. Reminded me of growing up in a small farm community and how closed minded the people were and the heartache they caused me. He lasted them out though and flourished there while I escaped hoping to never return.

Well, the original was William Hartnell back in 63. Tom Baker was the 4th Doctor. We are now on the 11th.
I have more Tom Baker than any other Doctor of the original run on DVD. Even my daughter is a Tom Baker fan!

Back when I was working as a nurse they had re-runs of Doctor Who on PBS. After work I would unwind with an imported beer and those old episodes, including William Hartnell and Tom Baker. Tom Baker was my favorite back then, I thought he was cute. These days my favorite is David Tennant. In the older episodes part of the fun for me was laughing at the hokey special effects.
I'm still watching the Christopher Ecleston episodes.

Battlestar Galactica, one of my favorite sci-fi series, that is after Doctor Who.

I've been watching the series Battlestar Galactica and it amazes me each time how bad the SQ is, at least on Netflix. It isn't always bad but much of the time it is.

Given you are paying NF for viewing it, you might want to grab a "proper" HD version from elsewhere.

I just finished re-watching "Taking Chance" on HBO. This movie shows the process of our military personnel in their process of escorting our fallen service members back home to their final resting place. I have even more respect for these escorts and their duty. Kevin Bacon does an admirable acting job in this movie.

This one made me think! Such a complex blend of emotions, sad, funny and everything in between. Javier Bardem portrays a brilliant performance. I think I may have to watch it again to fully appreciate it. There was so much going on in this movie that I felt a profound sensory overload. Strongly recommended. Click image for more info...
