Interesting results so far, and no I don't plan on buying one as I intentionally bought the best I could afford, non-3D plasma late last year.

Yes, but mainly for its 2D performance. And three years from now I will probably upgrade again.
3D Plasmas are cheap now. And you need one (or LED), and a 3D Blu-ray player, a good high speed HDMI cable, a 3D receiver with HDMI 1.4 ARC, and 3D Blu-ray movies which some of them ("Avatar") are exclusive to Panasonic or Samsung or Sony deals to get you going and join the new world for the few fortunate ones, or the elite class!
Just think the way those manufaturers think and you'll see the greed and the devil who likes to screw the economy in favor of pure selfishness!
I can't wait til 16K and 9D! ...Underground or electrified by fire!

3D is awesome. Avatar in 3D is the best 3D movie I have ever seen. All my friends and family come over on weekends to view my 3D collections with almost perfect sound. I am planning on some Emo equipment to purify my sound. 3D is here to stay and so easy to get into and enjoy.

Having owned one for 10 months or so now, I would have to say I don't regret forking out the cash for it.
I don't watch 3d on a daily basis, only movies and an occasional football game. Monsters vs Aliens as well as the previously-mentioned Avatar were pretty incredible. XBOX 360 in 3d is also fun on occasion.
Down side is the cost of the glasses (that need batteries) and watching for more than a few hours can cause me to feel drowsy and has been known to give others headaches.

I'm not that excited about 3d myself. Maybe if it can be done without the spectacles... "Avatar" is such a title (picture wise, not story wise). |

Next year (2012) you'll be able to get a Full HDTV (1080P), 3D plasma, 65 inches in diagonal, for only $1,500 or even less! ...I'd say $1,200 for some models by some manufacturers when on sale! A 60 incher one for a thousand bucks fo sure! * But your 54" Panny for only $800 (or was it $900?) was an excellent deal!  |

Just wondering was that a good price? The ST Series are much better than the S Series, but you can do much better nowadays for $1,800. You can get a 65" last year model for around the same price. And the G Series and VT Series from last year are now heavily discounted (read 50%). * Kuros are still the best though!  ...But they don't do 3D!  And by the way, all Panasonic plasma TVs that were reviewed at C-Net (2009 & 2010 models) have been deducted scores from their ratings; due to rising black levels! The 2011 models remain to be re-evaluated at different time periods to see if the issue remains! According to Panasonic, it should not happen no more! And according to pro insiders, it will still happen!  |
