Well I have put off buying the UMC 1 for the last 10 months or so until the bugs got worked out but my question is would it be an upgrade over my Integra 9.9 DHC? Or is there something else out there that is just a must have within a price range of say $1500? I have a couple of Emotiva amps so I wouldnt need the amplification part-

I had the UMC-1. To many problems and sold it. Then i had the same Pre/Pro you have right now  For me the 9.9 was all around better. Better sound. More options. Easier setup (not by much though). No bugs and i never had to UPDATE!!!!!! it. But now i have a straight 2 channel setup ;D I love this hobby. If i were you, i would keep what you have. |

Your question is best addressed if you can tell us what about the DHC 9.9 you are trying to upgrade. Your question is just too open ended to be addressed with definition. Go for it!
