Wow, it's been a long time Doug! How ya been? Its been a crazy year with work...lots of downsizing and a ton of the work from other positions falling on me. Free time has been hard to come by, but I'm just going to start making some. I have torn my HT room apart about 4 or 5 months ago as I have been trying to remodel my basement and it needed to be moved, but with the lack of time I havn't gotten too far with things. Hoping I can at least build the HT room in the next few months. I did build 2 full-size arcade games (1 a vertical orientation unit with a 60-1 card and the other a horizontal orientation unit with a 19-1 card) and a keg freezer...they are helping me keep my sanity at times. Keg freezer makes it so I can drink really good beer for less than a buck a pint. Currenty have a keg of Gordon Biersch Marzen and am looking to pick up another from McCoys soon. Haven't been doing much of the things I really enjoy this summer (BBQ, running, biking, fishing)...either I haven't had the time, or it has been so damn hot here. Looking forward to a few days away from things and catching up with many of you I met the first year at Emofest as well as meeting the people I haven't...that and trying to see how Judd and I can top the last time we went. Since I woke up early this morning, I'm gonna head out on a run and try to shake a few cobwebs out of the legs this morning. It's been over a month since I have run, so I'll probably just try a couple miles so I don't end up too sore the next couple days. Peace...out! |

Well I am a newbie and I intend to be there. I have emailed my application and they sent it back saying I was too weird. Only kidding, I am dying to go and listen to the 8.3's. I know nothing about the get together but would love to meet folks that are into music so I can learn a ton of cool stuff.
Jack is my name and being chunky and useless is my game, well ever since I went into management. What else is there to do sitting behind a desk anyway ?? I do have some Emo gear in my HT so what a treat this will be. Two days of...well I have no clue what actually, but unless we are chained to a tree and whipped, whats the worse that can happen ?

Ratherwife and I will make it this year, along with the two younger boys. Usually distance and travel exclude us from going but I got tired of Lonnie calling at all hours of the night harassing me to go this year. After the 5th call, I relented. Don't get me wrong, Lonnie wasn't berating me on these calls but he insisted on discussing the technical implications of voltage theory and its applications in the audio world. I fell asleep twice but he managed to call me back. As soon as I said I would attend this year, he agreed to stop the late night lectures. You have never truly lived until you get drunk dialed by Lonnie to discuss voltage theory....  |

We are currently slated to go, (hotel res. and all), but the bills are killing me as of late, so am thinking of pulling out. :-( If sombody buys all the stuff I have on ebay right now, then the trip may be a possibility.... Gonna give it another week before I diecide 100% one way or another.... I was gonna pick up a bunch of gear for a guy I work with too and he is not happy with me either... |
