I am new to Emotiva but excited to start my collection and looking for some help.
I am building out a 2:1 system that will be connected to Direct TV, OPPO 93 BluRay and Sonos System. I have an Parasound A23 Amp which was connected to a a Rotel Receiver. The receiver is going to a new Home Theater Room. I need a pre amp and came across the XPA-1. First question, Is this a good use of the XDA-1. Can I use my Parasound's loop out to drive my Sub Woofer. B&W 700. Or would I use the RCA Left Channel from the XDA-1.
Second piece of advice, The 7:1 speakers in the home theater system consist of my B&W CMC's. The Rotel RSX 1056 only is a 5:1 system. what is the recommendation to drive the additional speakers and what emotiva solutions will work here. Trying to reuse existing equipment if possible to save some bucks while also sounding great.
I appreciate this forums advice.

Both the RCA as well as the XLR outs on the XDA are hot at the same time. If your sub has XLR in, you can just run RCA to your amp and XLR to your sub (or vice-versa).
