Might as well introduce myself!

Hello!

I've seen this forum come up in Google searches and have found lots of useful information here. Decided to register an account finally. Love emotiva equipment and hope to have enough money to afford some of it one day. In the meantime I have some little Paradigm atoms running off a vintage 70's Kenwood amplifier. I know it's a weak setup, but I'm in the process of upgrading. Bought a Marantz SR-18U that needs an IC replaced (just waiting for the IC to come in the mail) and hope to purchase some better speakers.

Anyway, I felt a need to say thanks to all of the valuable information here thus far.

Thanks for moving this! I'm used to seeing introductory sub-forums at the top. And I guess by posting in the newbie forum I showed just how "newbie" I am heh heh.

Hmmm most of the classifieds I've seen on Audiogon aren't very good, in fact some are more pricey than ebay. It's likely however, that there are people who constantly monitor audiogon and swipe up the good deals before I see them.

Ding. There are very serious professional/semi-pro vultures that buy up almost anything that's a deal then resell it. I'm sometimes an amateur vulture that buys up some things that are a deal just to see what they sound like, knowing I'll break even, lose very little, or make a couple bucks, if I decide not to keep it.
