does anyone know if the USB input has the 5V line to charge MP3 players. I do not see the info on line of in the manual... thanks!

I don't know if the XDA does but I usually charge my ipod off the front USB port on my Comcast DVR

Well, I went to test it with my ipod but it has a USB Male B input and my ipod only has a male A connector, Sorry

Yea, it didn't come with a cable so I am using the one from my printer!

Yea, it didn't come with a cable so I am using the one from my printer! I used the one from my external 3.5" HDD. These cables are commonly used with HDDs and printers.

Believe it or not, I went to a Computer Store to purchase an A--B USB cable and the clerk did not understand, or did not know there was such a cable, until I told him it is just a standard USB "printer" cable. Bingo! That he understood. You would think someone who works in a computer store would have some basic knowledge of the standard cables used with them, but I have found that more often than not they don't. Sad, isn't it? ;D I now assume the clerk will not know anything.
