I tried to search for a comparison but could not find one so I thought I would start a new thread. Has anyoe heard both the rpa and the mps amps? How do they compare with each other for 2-channel.
I have a three channel mps-1 and was wondering if an rpa would be better.

Yes, the RPA 2-channel power amps and the MSP-1/2 are similar in their sonic signatures, but I felt that the RPA-2 edges the MSPs for stereo sound reproduction. If you are looking at possibly getting the MSP for use solely for stereo music I would recommend you get the RPA-2 instead. It is a more refined sounding amp, but don't expect to hear a significant difference. What difference you will experience are more subtle and will require critical listening to detect those nuances. You will love either of them.

Already have an mps-1....just wondering if it is worth trying to get and rpa-1/rpa-2. Yes the rpa's with their vu meters are downright sexy. I presume the rpa is better because of a better power supply.
