Well gang...I have some good news and I have some bad news. First, the good news. I received my Emotiva speakers today...all 7.1 of them! First off let me just say this for any people who might be on the bubble about these...they are f#@$ing gorgeous! Pictures don't do them justice. Construction is top notch in both finish and girth. These suckas is heavy! Hell, even my wife thinks they're beautiful...and that's saying something. Now, the bad news. I haven't hooked them up and listened to them yet because both ERT-8.3's were damaged  Now I have to wait until Monday, go through the RMA process and wait another week to receive the replacements. Oh woas me! Truly frustrating, but perhaps I'll appreciate them that much more for waiting just a bit longer. Patience is a virtue? Bulls$#t!! I wanna hear my Emotivas...and I wanna hear them NOW! I am just praying that our good friends back at Emotiva still have any left to replace them with next week. Given what I have now seen with my own eyes I would be surprised if they're not flying off the shelves at these prices. Sad about the damage, but these things happen. Regardless, these are sexy speakers. Perhaps understated as mentioned in previous comments, but beautiful fit, finish and girth. Now, if I can get the towers replaced I'll let you all know how they sound. Stay tuned! |

More bad news...everyone's at Emofest until Wednesday! What am I to do? If any of you happen to be at Emofest would you mention to the Emo gang that I am stranded without my speakers and can't wait another 5 days so that I can get an RMA number.
HELP! Don't leave me here without my speakers!!!

Keith, you could always hook them up temporarily with the 4 ERD-1's. the 6.3 center and set the left and right as "phantom."  |

More bad news...everyone's at Emofest until Wednesday! What am I to do? I wondered why I didn't hear from them yesterday after placing my order. All my previous orders were shipped the same day. Hope I can receive mine by next Friday.  |

OK, first off...ruled out suicide. But thanks for the input  As for giving them a whirl as is...thought it best to put them back into their original packaging as received (while I could still remember how everything came out of the box in the first place)...memory ain't what it used to be. I was going to have the guys help do the install on the surrounds, center and subwoofer, but being somewhat anal retentive I wanted to wait and hear the system complete. So, I will wait patiently (not so much) until Emofest is finished and the gang gets back to the office. However, if anyone at Emofest happens to be reading this blog while you're entertaining your guests...check your inbox! There's an RMA resuest awaiting you! I repeat...I wanna hear my Emo's!!! Keeping the faith though  |

Julio...Do I spy a glimpse at some of the NEW Emotiva gear? Kinda new to Emotiva so not sure if we're looking at something new or something old. Whatever it is they oughta bring it back...that's some sexy gear!
Finally and to the gang... talked with Emotiva today and sent them pictures of the damaged shipment...awaiting a response. Hopefully Thursday. Am getting very anxious to get these suckers up and running.
Ugh!

Any updates? I know the wait must be painful.
I ordered mine at EmoFest, so I'm hoping they'll be in today. The FedEx tracker shows a couple ERM-6.2s on the truck for delivery, but the other 3 boxes as still at the sorting facility. Hopefully they were just too tired after lugging over 250 lbs worth of speakers to the truck to scan all five boxes!
At least if I do only get a pair of 6.2s today I can start comparing them to my old Polks.
