Hello everyone I'd like to add my two cents about my new XPA-2 power amplifer... It's only a short and sweet post. lol Simply said, the performance of the XPA-2 is breath-taking. It really brings out the best of my Richter floor standers with a stunning sound stage and a lovely rich and flat frequency response right down to the 40-35Hz mark, without the aid of a subwoofer. Every type of music I've thrown at it so far (from trance, dance, rock, metal, electronic, pop, acoustic, blues, jazz) sounds fantastic and reveals detail and nuances inside music tracks that my Denon AVR-3806 just couldn't touch (which already has very good sound quality). I have had no desire to touch the EQ, any tone controls or fancy enhancers while using the amp. It sounds awesome straight off the bat. I use my Denon AVR as the Pre/Pro in 'Pure Direct Mode'. This is what really impressed me.. The 'attack' and dynamic range of these amplifiers is just plain frightening, especially when watching movies. Sounds like a slamming door or a shotgun firing make you literally jump in your seat. I love the control of this amplifier too. No matter what volume levels I have played through my floor standers it sounds as clean as a whistle.. with bells and whistles attached to it! ;D I apologize that my review is not really detailed or technical, but I really needed to add my part in here as I am a really satisfied customer!

I think what you say is true of the other Emo amps, perhaps to a lesser degree, too. I frequently nearly jump out of my seat.

I concur. My XPA-5 affects me similarly. I imagine the XPA-2 is that much better and gutsier.

I bought an XPA-2 at EmoFest this year so the reassurance on going this route is good to hear!

Jacci, I feel the very same with my XPA-2 in my system. By the way, last night I watched this, and I highly recommend it to you and everyone else here, even if you have seen it, but this time watch it & listen to it at Reference Volume level. ----- ****************************************************---------- ----- ****************************************************

Book of Eli is great fun in surround. I loved the shoot out in the street and the gun battle in the house with the canables.
