I know those ones from Monoprice. Inexpensive and effective ...as long as you ensure a good tight connection to the cable.

That's the key, that's for sure. I've used those from monoprice, very economical. I prefer the ones from Orange County, though ...as long as you ensure a good tight connection to the cable.

Totally agree, the GLS brand that Orange County sells are solid. Especially the locking type. That's the key, that's for sure. I've sued those from monoprice, very economical. I prefer the ones from Orange County, though ...as long as you ensure a good tight connection to the cable.

Got a ton of them in use myself. Best deal when you get them on sale.
Monoprice, FTW!

I have both the Parts Express and the GLS banana plugs. They are both excellent, but I would give the edge to the GLS offering... the GLS are also cheaper when bought in quantity. Link for the GLS banana plugs shown below. www.speakerrepair.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=AHH_BananaForgot to mention that GLS also has an excellent spade plug connector, for those who prefer this type connector. I believe it is a 5/16 spade, so it should work with premium binding posts.

I have about 10 different types of bananas and my favorite by far is the Nakamichi ones but a good margin. the build quality is superior vs even the GLS ones. I find the GLS ones to use very crappy metal, as the metal is very pitted and the plugs squeak very badly while putting them together. The GLS locking plugs are much better quality but the nak locking ones are again a clear step above in build quality and material used. This is of course only my opinion.

I've never used these before... thanks for sharing your observation. Always like the look of these but I have heard some mixed opinions (from people I don't know). i have the monoprice banana plugs and they dont compare at all to the emotiva interconnects, i think those packs are a great value for the money you spend on them, i wish they just sold them in pairs tbh.

I have those Nakamichi banana plugs in my upstairs/primary HT. I got them on ebay for a crazy low price.

The monoprice are ok brace they are so cheap. I have been using them for a few years now and found them sliding out a couple of times. The springs seem to lose a little but of their tension. Nothing a small screwdriver in between the springs won't fix, although I have broken one this way. Good thing they are so cheap and I bought three extra pairs.
