Dear guys, owners of this XPA-5 Amplifier. I have the trouble: my friend in America bought it for me. The main problem is delivery via USPS because they have a weight limit of 70lbs. Moreover, under the Russian law, FedEx,DHL,UPS is restricted to deliver goods to natural persons in Russia. I want to know how to minimize the wieght the possible to the top of the housing also the remove 1 or 2 like this emotiva.com/shop/cart.php?m=product_detail&p=7 Power Modules etc. Maybe someone knows how much it weights?

It has a listed weight of 66 LBS. Shipping boxed at 86 LBS. I think if you make 2 packages one with power cable, manual, feet, and amp cover you should be below 70 LBS. I think 86 LBS was being overstated. The packing box could not have been more than 5 LBS. If i remember correct when mine was shipped to me fed ex had it listed at less than it's stated weight. I think they do this as a warning for lifting them.

delivery can be a killer..
the best thing I could suggest is a neutral country and shjp to it and you pick up from there ..
hmmm 1st I've of emotiva using USPS, for international orders I would say fedex, DHL or UPS..
if your country has import laws restricting weight to 70lbs you may need alternate delivery method outside your country of origin...,
essentially you should of brought direct from Emotiva yourself as great as your friend was in purchasing the amp for you, now you got headaches trying to ship from the US because of the friend will only USPS it to you.. sad to say UPS, DHL or Fedex us likely going to be your only option..

Do you know a natural person in Russia, if so purchase a new one and have emo send it to them and return the one you already have under the 30 day policy assuming you have owned it less than 30 days.

I have the same problem. Although I have friends in the us, the weight cap is really difficult to overcome. If I use anyone else than usps (fedex, ups) then I should add about 150€ more to the tab due to their extortionate practices...
