Absolutely. Just connect it to a nice DAC and there you go.
Install a player that outputs the sound via ASIO or WASAPI to bypass the Windows sound mixer and thus avoid degrading the sound and you should be all set.

was just going to go USB straight to my XDA-1 through the audio settings....is that correct?
just planned on using itunes

That is correct.
But then you have to ensure that the software player is talking directly to the XDA-1 instead of routing the sound through windows. That is done by choosing the output route in the player to Wasapi or Asio instead of Direct Sound. Many players are Wasapi/Asio compatible. To name just a few, Foobar2000 (just add the plug-in), MediaMonkey, MusicBee, Winamp (just add the plug-in)...

ok cool, thank you very much..
didnt really want to hook up my mega tower monster server/gaming system to my $5000.00 audio system only to hear 4 giant colling fans roaring away lol
