Planning on purchasing X-Ref 12 Monday. Currently have a B & W ASW 600 that the X-Ref will either replace or accompany. Noticed there are stereo inputs on the X-Ref, I do not have a stereo output on my Denon receiver. Do I only run one RCA, if so which one? Secondly, if I decide I wnat to continue using my B & W how do I "Daisy" chain the two subs? I have one (1) 25 ft. sub cable I purchased with the B & W sub, what else do I need to make it work? Thanks.

Are these the only options since I am without XLR inputs? Will this degrade the signal? Can I purchase local at radio shack, Best Buy or someplace else? WOuld hate to buy a piece of audio that I am unable to use.

As for connecting both subs, you can split the SW signal from the receiver and run a single RCA cable to each sub. You can find a suitable RCA splitter from Radio Shack.

Thanks geebo. I only use one of the inputs on my B & W ASW 600 so I guess that will work again.

picked up my sub, met Vincent, the cute little dogs and the lady getting paid to decorate the Christmas tree. Hope they post a pick. Sub worked out the gate, still playing with the adjustments. Can't wait to play a movie like U-571.

Thanks for all the help. I tried hooking up both subs by daisy chaining one RCA from the receiver to the first sub, that did not work properly. The first sub was getting enough signal, the second was not. I made a quick run to Radio Shack (don't know who they stay in business but sure am glad I have one in town), picked the exact item I needed to split the signal coming out of my reciever to both subs equally. Worked like a charm. Now to save up for another X-Ref for Christmas to replace the B&W altogether. I really like the way the Emo looks, sounds and works. Nothing against the B & W, it has served me for years and still functions as good today as it did the day I bought it. Maybe bedroom duty if I ever get around to a bedroom system.

I wonder if 2 X-Ref 12s will do the trick for my set up below:
The subs will be replacing a Velodyne DLS-4000. My listening area is an open room design. 23ft (w) x 28ft (L) x 8ft. The listening area is 23ft (w) x 17 ft (L) x 9ft and behind the listening area is the Kitchen and dining room. This is where the 11 ft in length comes in. The subs will be placed in the front of the room outside of the front speakers, against the wall.
I don't care about what the sound is like in the kitchen or in the dining room. 30% HT, 70% music.
I look forward to the boards comments.
Thank You
