Auralex makes great products. To decouple your sub from the floor these work great.

Find out what issues you have and then you can devise a method to attack them. Perhaps the cheapest and easiest way to do this is to download Room EQ Wizard and buy a Radio Shack SPL meter... after you read the tutorials found here.
