Couple of years ago the odd owner used to complain of heat sink ticking. They don't still do that, do they?

I owned mine for a year now and I never really complained about that but since they're new to now the inside heat sinks always ticking during the warm-up and after the power shut-down during the cool-down. But for me it's not an issue.
I have to admit that some time after relative long period the power amps are turned off (5 to 10 min.) the ticking sound is loud enough to make me jumping ;D

Ticking is still an issue...but i just un nipped the screws from the heat sinks underneath and dont have that problem so much now.
The leds seem to have a life of their own in the emo amps sometimes...my xpa-1s behave but i replaces a friends front panel once that was all messed up and have also had a good deal of issues with a upa-2 that seems to tink its a christmas tree lighting up all combinations of red and blue together when its off..ie amber power. Im awaiting some parts from emo as I type...should be here any day now. Its a hassle sending gear back from overseas so I do the repairs myself...and emo is just fine woth sending out bits when they are needed...that is a class act for any company...you cant knock the service.

I've had mine for less than 3 years and this led issue occurs 6 or 7 times since then; oddly it didn't happen when I get them, but only recently, since let's say a few months. It's rather bloody costly to send a pair of such amps for service from France so I expect Emo's staff to contact me for sending me a replacement part dixit Vincent
