Latest news... According to Onkyo Europe, the Onkyo PR-SC5509 Surround Processor is coming to the US. And it's official according to some sources. Soooo, now you can save money instead of going with the Integra DHC-80.3 pre/pro; which is 99% its equivalent. Or go with the XMC-1 (when...), and save even more... That's it folks, that was the latest news.

Any idea of the street price? Not yet; but should know that very soon. And when I do, I'll post it right here.

Think! * Now that the Integra DHC-80.3 has been released for a while, Onkyo/Integra is now starting to lower prices, and release their own dedicated Onkyo PR-SC5509 pre/pro. It's all in the business plan. ...Investment tactics.

They are 9.x. They have all the processing, thx, neoX etc. I've also read that the 5509 is on it's way. Price from what I've read will be about $2200 US and $2600 CDN The integra 80.3 MRSP is $2600 US and $3200 CDN. I paid $2600+tax for my $80.3 and that was quite a bit lower than anywhere else I could find.

Wayyy too early to say Dave. * But one thing is for sure, if you keep track with Las Vegas ( CES), there are lot of goodies coming this year! _______________ Nathan, Dave was referring to the 2012 models coming this fall; the Integra DHC-80.4 and Onkyo PR-SC5510 pre/pros. And thank you for providing the MSRP of the 5509. ...typo

I know there might be internet rumors about this pre/pro making it to the US, but I've yet to hear this from Onkyo USA. Might this be wishful thinking by Onkyo fans?

A local Hi Fi store. I've never dealt with them before and it was a cash only price : www.americanhifi.com/ it's only about 20 mins from my place.

Anyone know the diffrence 5508 vs 5509 or is it just 4K feature and a little better looks ? That and DTS Neo:X (DTS's own variation of Audyssey DSX). And of course that excellent new Video processor chip from Marvell (with 4K video upscaling capability). {4K = 3,840 by 2,160} But other than that they're pretty much exactly the same. * Both the 5508 and 5509 are 9.2-ch pre/pros. ...Like Nate said above. ** Could be in the second quarter until we see the 5509 on this side of this continent (even maybe the third quarter).

last time I looked at the 5509 specs it 9.2 processor.
if yjr 5510 is real i can't see it more than a 9.x I'll be surprised to see it as a 11x processor whether ir be rca or xlr.
