Hi. Looking for some advice from experienced members. I am getting ready to order some panels (blanks, vented, flanged, etc.) for a server rack that I will be using for my gear . I want black brushed aluminum and was looking at Middle Atlantic's products. Does anyone have some advice they could share about Middle Atlantic products or other/better alternatives. Of course, knowing who has the best prices would be nice too. Thank you for any suggestions!! Cappie

I'm building a 2x12U rack using my new welder and 1" square steel tubing. It will have a nice wood facade, so no worries. For this project I bought MA rails, custom shelves and HBL blanks (black brushed anodized). Using EMO ears for amps. I found sweetwater.comto have great pricing and was impressed by their 1 on 1 customer service with every order. I got my blanks and rails from them. For custom shelves, I ordered from pillarsecurity.com (they are in TN) and the best deal I could find.

I am in the process of filling my rack and the "Black Brushed Anodized" panels from MA are fantastic, look identical to the front of your Emotiva Gear.
There are a number of different options, but for my simple blanks I bought the HBL1, which is just a flat panel, I accidentally bought the BL2 for my 2 RU space and I sort of like the look of it better because it has a curl on the top and bottom that, to me, looks a little nicer... either way it looks great. I bought all my stuff from ACMElectronics.com and found them to have very reasonable prices and quick shipping.

Thank you for your responses. I will look at sweetwater.com and customavrack.com/ and compare pricing. How did you guys cut the blank panels to get a nice fit with your gear. I would love to see some pictures if you have any to share. Thanks again. Cappie

This site has half height U panels incase you need to fill an odd gap. redco.comI didn't have to cut any panals, not sure what you mean there, everything is spaced in 1U increments. If you're referring to the image below, that's a Custom Rack Shelf. RSH4A-xxx (4A= brushed aluminum, xxx=model #) when ordering specify the make/model of the product it is for, and they give you a custom face plate that perfectly fits:
