Thanks everyone for the great welcome!
I am located in Queensland, in the city of Brisbane.
I chose the emotiva products because of the great reviews I have read while looking for a power amplifier. I have put together my audio equipment over the past few years and the pre and power will be the finishing touches.
This will be strictly stereo listening. The pre amplifier will will be fed a line level signal from my Musical Fidelity M1 DAC.
I have Neotech Origin interconnects to connect the M1 to the USP.
Here's how I use the digital inputs.
Coax - Nextwave Digital/Internet Radio Optical - CD Transport or Western Digital WDHDTV to playback Flac files AESEBU - Cambridge Audio Digital Transport iPod/iPhone Dock playing back Flac and lossless audio USB - Not used. I use a Asynchronous Musical Fidelity v-Link for connection to the laptop.
I have a custom made 50cm Belden interconnect with Neutrik connectors for the pre and power.
The power amplifier will be connected via 12ga OFC cable and I use Nakamichi banana plugs for terminations.
The power amp will be connected to my Martin Logan Source Electrosats.
I have also built a DIY subwoofer, but don't really use it for listening to music much. It has a 11 inch Focal 27v1 and an O Audio 500 watt RMS amplifier powering it.
The speakers have been run in and have sounded the best they have in my system. Currently I running a Bada DC-222 for my speakers. The Bada is a very good performer, I just find the sound a bit lean. It almost sounds sterile. Very Arcam like.
