Careful you don't end up wanting more. I've now got 10 of them! Ten UPA-1s? Haven't you heard they are cheaper by the dozen? ;D Does this mean you bought a couple more ERM-6.3 speakers? 8 x UPA-1s, 10 x ERM-6.3. I bought an extra 6.3 and UPA-1 and doubled up on the centre. It works very well and I no longer fee like the dialogue on the centre (which was vertical) is a bit off to one side. Plus the centre stage seems a little more full and Emo-Q now sets the centre XO to 80Hz instead of 90 and -3db instead of 0. The nested arrays seem to work really well side by side (I have the mids together). So I still have 2 x 6.3s for FWs in the future. Incidentally I initially ran a pair of the 6.3s in series from one UPA-1 and it worked pretty well but tonally did seem a little different, it's matched again with the 2 x UPA-1s driving their own speaker.

I was talking about the XPA-5 I just bought Nemesis. I don't have any more UPA's.

Flat panel mount is up. It was hell installing it all by myself. The mount itself is very heavy steel. The built in level sucks and was way off. Fortunately I used my own and it worked out well. I'm still getting used to the added height. The tilt feature is quite nice also. I'm still waiting on my XPA-5 which I hope will be here late next week. I'm a little nervous to place it on my stand as the glass shelves are made to hold no more than 80 pounds and I plan to have both the 76 lb amplifier and UMC on the bottom shelf. I really want a solid wood open shelving unit which I will eventually build or have someone build for me. Attachments:

I lowered the mount slightly by taking the pieces that attach to the rear of the tv off and sliding them up a couple holes. Now the tv sits 2-3 inches lower, just above the center without contact. It looks a lot cleaner, the wires cannot be seen now, and it's just a little easier on the eyes and neck.
I'm much more satisfied with the finished look now.
I am contemplating removing the ss-6 arms and painting them black to match the component trim.

Me too! I have my center ERM-1 on an SS-6. Let us know what paint you use.

I don't know what to say except I love this speaker. I really didn't know what I was missing when I was using a phantom center. By the way, the vocals are everything everyone says they are, spot on, ridiculously realistic. I watched 50/50 on BD the other night and it was like Seth Rogen and Joseph Gordon Levitt were sitting in front of me. Crazy! I also noticed the dynamics across the front are improved. I'm not certain if that's the XPA-5 at work or a culmination of the different additions recently. Very satisfied. PS..that stand I have is a plastic utility shelf I was using in another room. I couldn't use the metal/glass Z-Line stand as the 5 is just too darn deep. Not to mention 76 pounds on a glass shelf had me a little . But it's only a temporary solution as I can't stand the cheap look and I had to stack the components because they wouldn't fit side to side, which I hate doing. Attachments:

Oh, these speakers LOVE more power. I had the volume on 60 last night playing some music in PLII (a new favorite also), and man did it sound good, clear, and dynamic, with no audible distortion present. Probably the only negative I notice with the system now is a very slight buzzing through the speakers since switching to the XPA-5, though I really have to get close to notice it. The pic below should give a good perspective of the montrosity that is the XPA-5. As most of you know, seeing the pictures online and actually having an item in your home are two totally different things. Attachments:

The surrounds are finally doing their thing incredibly. I watched War Horse the other night and the sounds during the battle were all around me. It was very impressive. Those extra 100 watts into 4 ohms must've woken the ERD's up, haha.
