Got it all hooked up. Put on my MoFi version of The Cars - The Cars LP. Waited with great anticipation for "Let The Good Times Roll" to kick in. It starts, but there's no kick, it's muddy as all get out. WHAT?!?!?! LOL A quick check of the Phono input on the USP-1 and I see it's set for MC! DOH! Set to MM and it produces the expected level/type of sound. Heavy analysis/critical listening will have to wait. Dang work! (I work at home) More to come ...

That's awesome If you have the Mofi Candy O LP give that a spin, it is even better ;D What turntable do you have?

That's awesome If you have the Mofi Candy O LP give that a spin, it is even better ;D What turntable do you have? I do have that one as well, and Shake It Up too! I'll give it a spin today for sure. So far, I can say I was definitely lacking in the low-mid to mid range. Drum fills on those Mofi Cars albums used to explode out of my system, not in a good way, but in a odd, make me look every time way. Now, with the enhanced low-mid to mid range, everything seems more balanced, warmer, smoother. Snares and drums in general are tighter. The synergy between rhythm guitar and bass is amazing. There is a bite, a thickness, richness that I hear now that wasn't there before. Overall my system sounds bigger, louder. This is just the USP-1 and my turntable. My TT is a Pioneer PL-518 running an AT-120E cartridge. For the ERC-2, I used my Joe Jackson Look Sharp CD. It sounded pretty harsh on my Sony DVD player that I was using to play CDs. With the ERC-2-USP-1, this harshness is gone. Warmer, again the low-mids to mids are more there as they need to be. Bass sounds fabulous on this Joe Jackson CD now. I love "Happy Loving Couples" from this album. That tune and the title track, "Look Sharp" have way groovy bass lines. The sound of the bass noticeably enhanced. More growl, more depth. I played electric bass for 15+ years, so I'm hyper sensitive to that. All in all, in the limited time I've listened so far, I know for a fact that I did my system a world of good!
