I got my pair of CRM-2's today and I'm in shock they are awesome . The manual says to set them at 100Hz I was told today that I should sell my (2) HSU VTF-15H's and buy (2) Sunfire HRS 12's that they would be better for my setup ., but to be honest the Sunfire subs would cost me the same amount that I would get out of HSU's I feel I would be down grading , my HSU's to me seem to blend fine with the CRM-2's there huge but I still think they are a better sub than the HRS would be My next purchase will be the surrounds and center

..... I was told today that I should sell my (2) HSU VTF-15H's and buy (2) Sunfire HRS 12's that they would be better for my setup ..... I'll bet my next year month's social security checks that you heard that from a salesperson where you bought the speakers? ;D Forget it! The Sunfire sub is in no way comparable to the HSU sub, except they might be very good for music. They will not come close to the HSU sub for HT/movies. What happened to the Klipsch, Emotiva, Golden Ear, .............. speakers? ;D ;D ;D PS: If you set those speakers at 100Hz or higher, be sure and keep the subs close to the front of the room. Actually, I hope the HSU sub go up above 125 or so. I just read this at S&V magazine review of the CRM-2: ".....CRM-2s, which seemed to roll off below 150 Hz or so......• Setup alignment critical, integration tricky, Sweet spot limits audience size, Tiny subs superb but trades bottom half-octave for size....." You will need to be careful blending the speakers and the sub. I just checked and the HSU sub is flat up to about 200Hz.

For small monitors like that I personally prefer my sub to be both in the front and front firing. I want to listen to the cone vs just the port for stuff above 80Hz.
