The CRM-2's reach down to at least 100Hz, but that can be greatly affected by room boundary efects. Also, they are very sensitive to proper placement and height in relation to the listening position. Best results are usually obtained by placing them slightly above seated ear-height, toed-in toward the listener about 15-degrees, and about 1 foot from the wall. Use stands that have a small profile: if you don't want to lay out the money for the OEM stands (which aree quite flimsy if you ask me) try something like this,

For small monitors like that I personally prefer my sub to be both in the front and front firing. I want to listen to the cone vs just the port for stuff above 80Hz. The manual says to set the CRM-2's at 100Hz and the Sub to max freq if its set lower than 100Hz there will be a hole in the midbass I like the it best at 200Hz

Perhaps they've been improved, but the set I had in my house back in 2007 would not allow me to level the speakers without feeling like they were about to break in my hands. I found them unacceptable. Granted those specific Sanus stands may be not much better, but there are better choices out there than what Sunfire sells...

The sunfires were good for me but are pricey. Someone needs to make a perfect stand. Weight, price, appearance etc.....

..... I just have them ontop of my subs for now and didnt spend allot of time on them , Im going to wait for the stands . but I do know this I just cant get over how good they sound and Im sure they will sound even better once everything is setup correct You mention that you haven't spent much time with them. I'm curious, did you listen to them mainly at the dealers? PS: HT Mag tested them at -6dB's at 96Hz, so again be sure the subs are still at the front of the room. They tested -3dB's at 115Hz so experiment with the sub crossed over at about 100-125Hz. They also tested the sensitivity at 82.5dB's so will you need lots of power to drive them.

OK, that's good to hear. Comparing the Klipsch's that you are used to at about 97dB's efficiency versus the new Sunfire's at about 82.5dB's would mean you need approx 25 times as much power to play the Sunfire's at the same volume level. I was afraid when you got them set up they might not be loud enough for what you have been used to.

I use and like the Plateau RT Series stands. I have the 23inch and fixin to order the 30". They're well constructed and can be filled with sand for extra mass and dampening.

I was going to buy the sunfire stands but ran into an issue with the seller , maybe a good thing . Anyway I already ordered a pair from amazon I had some points so they cost me 67.00 to my door . also this is good because the way I keep stuff I didnt need a pair of 420.00 stands that only fit one type of speaker . Here is what I bought sunfire says the best height to be at is around 42" these will get me at 40.5 being a 36" stand www.standsandmounts.com/vtidfseriescastiron36inchspeakerstandsdf36.aspx All metal construction with cast iron base. Heavy duty and long lasting stand for excellent sound performance. Adjustable carpet spikes on bottom provide excellent stability. Metal-bits or sand fillable to increase stability and reduce sound distortion. Price is per pair.

So.. will you be selling the Sunfires AND stands as a combo or are you going to sell them separately seeing as how the stands can fit other brands, too? ;D
