I'm thinking of building a SubRosa Sub myself, using 2 flat 12" automotive Subwoofers and power them externally using a Behringer sub. |

To DIY the SubRosa system, you'd need a lot more than just flat panel woofers. There's the active anti-vibration system, the room auto-EQ and the fact that the woofers operate in the ELF range (below fs) for starters - which is why they require so much power. You might be able to build something that looks a bit like it, but you'd be unlikely to duplicate the performance.
