My question to a1uc is: When will you be selling that HTPC? ;D Most of my computer stuff goes to my store , but since I'm selling the building who knows. If I don't find another place to buy I might have to sell more of it online ;D

Nice looking board but is it really worth the $80 difference over the ASUS P8Z77-V?

Nice looking board but is it really worth the $80 difference over the ASUS P8Z77-V? it is to me , because I like the look of it , if you don't care about the looks you can pick a few different boards for less

Most of my computer stuff goes to my store What kind of store do you run? I don't think a1uc should ever have to pay sales tax on anything, since he is a reseller. ;D Sales tax is the obligation of the end user.

Most of my computer stuff goes to my store What kind of store do you run? about 18 yrs ago I quit my job and bought my first home , I sold apple laptops and toughbooks online for 5 yrs . I then opened a computer shop and sold new and used computers for 7 yrs till the landlord sold the building without asking me if I wanted to purchase it ,so I was in a jam and one of my customers had a building for sale so I bought it . I was going to do a complete remodel of the store but the city gave me a hard time a very hard time so I could only do so much paint drop ceiling etc , so I hated the new shop for the last 6 yrs and couldn't stand the site of it and it made me depressed to go to the shop . So I ended up locking the doors to the public I'm really " burnt out " and cant stand dealing with the public so now I decided to sell the building and my first home also . I'm going to go back to selling toughbooks and parts , I purchase them by the skid load and refurbish them 6 yrs ago I purchased a 1/2 of semi load of apple laptops and did real good but those deals just don't pop up everyday . Oh I was going to open a pawn shop but the city had to many I got turned down ;D

That's very interesting. I didn't realize there was that much of a market for refurbished laptops.

That's very interesting. I didn't realize there was that much of a market for refurbished laptops. Panasonic Toughbooks As to other laptops not that much anymore for as cheap as people can buy them for , allot of people look at price and want the cheapest laptop they can buy and for the avg person they are more than enough. Times are different now . When I had my shop I would sell about 200 new dell systems a month, then at the end of the year I would sell all my leftover new LCD'S etc on eBay just like 1000's of people do . Well my luck Dell purchased a couple of them under a bs name and I got a letter in the mail you are black listed . I was done I couldn't even buy ink for my laser printers from dell. Then Sams club and Walmart went up 4 blocks from me and that did me and that didn't help anyways.

Yes, well that's how they protect their business and part of how they protect their IP. Part of my job is rooting out and shutting down grey-market resellers who knock-off or resell our products. It's almost a full-time job. Stay legit and things are much easier.
