Thanks for the nice words. looking for alternatives now.... Stan (or is it bernislo), are you maybe looking for a Graaf GM400? I thought I saw that amp highly praised in one of the links in your thread that has disappeared. At nearly 19 times the cost of the Emotiva XPA-1 that was recommended to you, I hope the Graaf would make your speakers happy. However, I also hope you might reconsider the XPA-1. All the talk about dynamic power seems to make the XPA-1 a huge winner, even with any additional costs to Slovenia. I suggest you call and talk to Keith L., Emotiva's Technical Guru. These figures below are to offer a comparison to others even in Europe who might be interested in amps that are priced out of this world. GM400 --- weight, 18.6kg (41 lbs) .................... XPA-1 --- 33.1kg (73lbs) GM400 --- gain, 31.6 dB ..................... XPA-1 --- 29 dB GM400 --- S/N-A, 102.5 dB .................... XPA-1 --- 116.4 dB GM400 --- 370 watts @ 4 ohm/THD @ 1Khz: 0.4% .................... XPA-1 --- 1010 watts @ 4 ohm/THD @ 1Khz: 0.154% GM400 --- 110.000uF .................... XPA-1 --- 120,000uF GM400 --- $20,498, USD..................... XPA-1 --- $1099 I hope you find an amp you are very pleased with.

Berni is my neighbour and he has one old gem: Graaf GM200 :-) He had GM400 on loan, though... Yes, perhaps you are right but we dream about XPR-1... I think Emotiva should consider selling them overseas provided that the customer covers ALL transportation costs in the event of amp failure.

I understand your desire to get the XPR-1. However, I can see some legitimacy in their stated reasons. I'm sure they did at least already consider the overseas sales. Seeing that you were very satisfied with the XPA-2 at least for some time, I would hope the XPA-1 might be a good upgrade match with your speakers. Looking at your photos I wonder if the expansive glass and bare floors might have an issue with your SQ. Did you actually try out his GM400?
Anyway, I do hope you can find an amp that meets your dream. Good luck!

Sometime it's better to sacrifice a little bit on sound quality to keep much more on visual quality. As I can see your environment could absolutely not be hide, very nice place to live, keep enjoying the music, the life and the visual of your area.
