Thanks. I will give this a read. I didn't know NEC had rules for audio/video cables. I have a 2011 book and will give it a read. Thanks.

Nice that you can plan and set up a dedicated HT - FUN! A few suggestions though - 1) I'd avoid "in-wall", (or "in-ceiling") speakers if you're at all able to because there are simply too many sonic compromises involved. Though I know some can sound 'okay'... 2) I'd go with two subs, add one now, but plan for two. It REALLY evens out the room's bass response. 3) Plan on putting in a pair of 20 Amp dedicated circuits while everything is opened up. 4) Blue Jean Cables is an excellent source for good quality in wall speaker cable that won't break the bank. Get 12 gauge. 5) Concentrate on getting the room right (as someone else typed earlier). Good acoustics will cure most other problems. 6) If going with two rows of seats, be sure to raise up the second no less than 6", (8" preferred). Good luck - have fun!

All the outlets in the room I have wired for to a 20 amp circuit. The outlets that the TV and sub plug into are 20 amp surge protected outlets. Since the rack will be in the basement, it will be on a separate, dedicated 20 amp line. Does this sound okay?
