The last two weeks have been crazy.. Working 14,15,16 hour days 7 days a week. Maybe a day off here and there. Sanus Systems must be gearing up to release a new design. That's all i've been working on. Tv mount system. So i went and ordered a little pair of speakers for my downstairs room. Nice sized room. To the side is more tables for soldering and what not. They are Napa Acoustic NA-208S speakers. $199.99 with free shipping. Nice gloss black finish. Very light. Like a few pounds. So far they sound very nice in my tech room. Bass is good for their size. Soundstage is nice and wide with detail. What's funny is... this are taking more power to drive than my PD30's have ever seen lol (87db vs 103db).

Cool! They have a nice finish on them for 200 bucks. They really do! Napa has a bunch of goodies. Most are reasonably priced. Just needed a set. Saw these. Why not ;D

I dunno, bro. The Lowe's box just doesn't seem legit. Are you sure you didn't buy them from a guy named Charlie Ray Conner in the back of a white van? ;D Actually, they look really good for $200. Nice find! I'll be honest and say I've never heard of that brand. Room looks good, too.

There's a few reviews on Stereophile about Napa. One article they were comparing Napa's cd player to the ERC-1. I'll look for a link.

Here's the link where they talked about the Napa CD player and ERC-2 hometheaterreview.com/napa-acoustic-na-208c-cd-player-reviewed/?page=2"There are a few CD players at or near the NA-208C's price point that are worth mentioning, beginning with Emotiva's ERC-2 Differential Reference CD Player/Digital Transport at $449 direct. The ERC-2 offers up more connection options, as well as a more robust player overall, both inside and out, though it lacks a digital volume control and headphone output. The ERC-2 is also a full-sized component better suited for traditional rack-mounted systems. "

Congratulations on those nice looking speakers. It is nice to reward one's self on occasion. ;D
That CD player looks like it has a similar width to the mini-X a-100 amp. I would like to see an Emotiva DAC, pre-amp and CD player that is similar in width to match the mini-X a-100 amp.

Looking at that setup, there *has* to be a HUGE hole in the middle when you're at the desk. I would move those speakers as close together as possible and toe them in some more...

This room is for building my projects. I sit in a chair and roll around the room. Solder this, go get that. Second the speakers cost $199 shipped. Not looking for nirvana here. Maybe i should get a set of Gallo's.
