First time Emotiva product owner, but I have had experience with external amps in the past. I've owned Adcom and Nad.
Only running it 2 channel at the moment as the interconnects are still 2 days out.
Pretty much as expected having had amps before.
Instantly wider image.
Cleaner highs more detailed (less harsh).
A more pronounced midrange.
The low-end is well um GLORIOUS. I've always tried to keep subs away from the 2 channel listening and now I can actually enjoy that more again..... Oh how I have missed the pure power
I guess a simple description would be DYNAMICS.
Can't wait to put that amp through the ringer with some movies

Remo The XPA-5 is an excellent amp -- very dynamic and lots of headroom. It is probably Emotiva's most popular amp. What other gear do you have? Are you looking to upgrade your system? Welcome to the Emotiva family. Once you buy your first piece of equipment from Emotiva you will be addicted. Don't fight it, resistance is futile. ;D ;D

Welcome to the Emotiva family. Once you buy your first piece of equipment from Emotiva you will be addicted. Everything is within a year old as I'm just getting into Home theater, so no not looking to upgraded but the bug has bit so its going to be constant on going hobby. I would like to build a dedicated 2 channel system in the next couple years. I think Emotiva products will be part of that.

Those Polk Monitor 70's sure sound better with a better amp don't they? Oh yeah they do! Like they are a completely different speaker. I was a bit dissatisfied when I got them, but knew I would be getting an amp and that would help.
