So I can get an Aragon 4004 Mk I or maybe II (listing says Mk I but I can only find references to a Mk II on the web.) or, I was considered a B stock XPA-2 to drive a new (used) set of Maggies 2.7 QR's. Thoughts?

The aragon has as much class A power as an XPA-1. That's nice.

I think the XPA-2 will be good for the 2.7s. That is what I used to drive mine. I used to own an Acurus A200 which is the "lower end" of Mondial Designs that created both the Acurus and Aragon brands. I thought that the Emotiva was a much more open and powerful amp than the Acurus. The Acurus was very veiled compared to the Emo.
