I want to share my gear wish list with everyone. I'm trying to put a theater room together soon. My bonus room is 8'H x 18'W x 28'L.

Welcome to the forum. We look forward to your full participation in the threads ;D But why would a 5 disc DVD player be on a wish list? Just get a multi-disc Blu Ray player. They are backward compatible and will play CDs and DVDs  |

And you get to keep the UMC to boot! |

Yes I already had the 5 disc DVD player. Might as well keep it. It's in mint condition.

Here's a GREAT place to start is Home Theater Magazine's (HTM) "Top Picks" listing: www.hometheater.com/top-picksThe website is also very useful, and I think their reviews are quite fair and straight. So if you're in the market, these listed items in each category are still available, have been tested and come highly recommended. (But as a default starting position I'd recommend you begin with Emotiva's UMC-1 plus XPA-5 and then add on using HTM's recommendations from there). And oh yeah, welcome to the forum!  |
