Just get one! Amazing. It's sitting between my ARC Pre and XPA-1s.
First time I've bought something just based on reviews but they were right.
You can switch between before and after on the fly and say wow. And I've said wow a few times tonight.

It better be for a $1000 three source preamp with sub EQ.

It better be for a $1000 three source preamp with sub EQ. 3 source preamp, and dac, with the most advanced room correction available (to call it merely an eq is a disservice), with incredible amounts of control and flexibility, power supply options, upgradability through firmware.... on and on. For the price it is a steal

For the price it is a stealUnless it is doing 5-20k eq vs say 5-200 (or even 500) it is considered a sub EQ. No slam, just proper definition. Does this do eq up to 20k? I didn't see that in the manual.

The 2.0 can be configured as a sub-only EQ or as a full range 20-20KHz EQ. It's a DSP so if you use it between pre and amp, be aware you're inserting another A to D and D to A in the signal path.

The pre and dac sections are reported to be very nice under battery power. I already have that setup with my LDR, a 12V on constant charge from a CTek.
Someone else is getting a Paul Hynes supply.
But yes, it does full correction, and not just EQ, but room modes as well. Go take a look at it. With a second twin Driver Legend I'm expecting pancake flat response with minimal nulls.
I am getting Gik QRD diffusers behind my Maggies, and building corner traps.
By the way, it can remember 4 seperate settings, and everything is displayed on screen there on the unit, or exportable to your PC, and usable in REW. Not just another plain old EQ.

The last thing I ever want to do is add something in the chain but once I took my tech hat off and listened with my ears it is a truely clever piece of kit.
Rclark, I'll check out the battery supply! Thanks.

Update on this;
I re ran the unit to 300hz and did a multipoint reading from 3 close spots around the listening seat.
I have a PC running FLAC thru the XDA1 set at 80 thru full balanced and comparing to oppo 95 CD running thru full balanced to the ARC. Volume matched and same track.
Can't tell the difference. I could before. Would it make that much difference! Weird.

On my never ending chase for a hissless set-up, i finally got there but not in the way i thought. i changed my ARC for an XSP-1 which enabled me to get rid of the attenuators. this hiss was still there albeit substantially reduced.
I then took the DSpeaker out from betweenn the Pre and the Amps and then all more or less quiet. But the DSpeaker is a product that i cannot be without, its that good.
So then i hooked the DSP up into the XSP-1 processor loop, so far so good, though im not sure yet how it will affect the differential part of the equation as my system is XLR and the Processor Loop is RCA but will be interesting to see how it affects the sound.

I have my DSPeaker Dual Core between my sources and my preamp. The preamp volume control is set for no attenuation, and I use the DC volume control, which seems more transparent than that of the preamp. The DC RCA outs connect to the sub, the XLR to the preamp. Works exceedingly well. Taming the bass room modes has enabled me to sit closer to the speakers, which in turn has enhanced sound stage and tonal balance. The DC is fed by a CIAudio 12V power supply.
I tried using the DC fully as preamp, but much prefer the sound with the preamp in the chain, even though I use the preamp in passive mode. It probably still engages a buffer stage, which may provide a better match to the amp (just guessing here, but the difference in SQ is quite apparent).
