so i played about 15min of music and was blow away with the amp fell in love. Went to get a bite to eat and came back for some more listening and turned it on and POOOOP!!!! scared the crap out of me. Disconnected the speakers and RCA cables turned it back on and RIGHT LEDS come all on and then right side goes out and then protection mode. now i got to send it back what a FEST!! any idea what the hell happen to it.

yupp i will so so upset.. but what a difference from the xpa-3 hope they help me out...who knows how long im going to have to wait to get it back.

If you have removed everything that was connected to the amp, power it down, unplug it, then check your fuses to see if one or more have blown.
When you said the amp went into protect mode, did you mean the red LED came on and stayed on when you powered up the amp? Did both channels have the red LED showing? Check all the wiring connected to the amp and the speakers you may have had a short at either end. Also if you have a meter check all your interconnects to make sure the cables are ok.
More than likely you just blew a fuse, but it could be a short in the cables or speaker wires. If you are not able to locate the problem just call Emotiva Tech Support and they will walk you thru what you need to do. They can tell you where the fuses are, in case you were not able to find them. Whatever the problem is, they will take care of you.
If they find you have a defective amp, they will overnight you a new amp and issue a call tag to return the bad amp. Customer service at Emotiva is absolutely the best I have ever seen. They will get you up and going one way or another.

Emo support is great, they'll help you sort out what's going on. Hopefully it's as simple as a blown fuse or missed connector, or switch flipped the wrong way.

Hey guys yes dan sent me a pm. calling him today to sort this out. So far im blown away with the customer service. Will let you know whats happing hopefully i dont have to send it back.

Even when its something you might have done they still will fix you up everytime. Very hard to beat that these days in any industry. Full marks to ALL the crew at Emotiva !!!

There are few companies today that provide this level of customer service. Emotiva is one of them. You've just experienced this first-hand and even got the direct attention of the CEO. You're getting a replacement and did not have to wait for 2 hours on the phone going through 3 levels of tech support.
I've been in contact with both Nick K and Vincent this week. They've answered my questions with courtesy and professionalism, and have gone well above the "bare minimum." I owe both those guys a drink of their choice and a nice dinner with their families.
This is a big reason why I do business with Emotiva and will be a customer for life.
