Some of you have probably read my other thread about ordering this beast - well, it's arrived, now I need to hook it up.
My first question is about interconnects.
I am using a Yamaha RX-A800, which only has unbalanced RCA outputs.
Should I:
1) Use RCA to RCA cables 2) Use RCA to XLR cables 3) Use RCA to RCA connections, but use a component cable bundle to make the connection (rather than 3 individual RCA cables)
What are the differences/benefits between these options?

Keeep it simple and just use a well made RCA to RCA cable with 100% shielding. Try to keep the cabling away from any AC power cords. If you must cross an AC cord do it at 90 degree angle to avoid any distortion. Do not use a RCA to XLR cable. It will not improve anything and can potentially cause problems and adds to your costs.

RCA to XLR would net you nothing. I would stick with quality RCA IC's. Whether you use a bundle of 3 or individual won't matter assuming all else is equal. Right now Emo has the component video cable on sale for an incredible price. $9.99 for 1 meter and &12.99 for 2 meter lengths. This is coaxial cable and will work great for your application. shop.emotiva.com/collections/interconnects/products/xvrca
