Setup: Denon 4311ci: 7.1ch HT (140/channel 8ohms) Polk RTi12 (Front): www.polkaudio.com/products/rti12 Polk CSi5 (Center): www.polkaudio.com/products/csi5 Klipsch S-3 (Surrounds): www.klipsch.com/s-3-surround-speaker Klipsch RW-12 (2 Subs): www.klipsch.com/rw-12d-subwoofer 1. Will these speakers match HT setup? 2. Denon will run surround speakers OR + center speaker? My Front (50-500 watts\channel) definitely need more. Does my Center (20-200 watts\channel) need external amp or Denon (140/channel) will run it fine? 3. XPA-5 unused power goes to the channels being used. Is this true?: 5 channels - 8 ohm = 200 watts per channel 4 channels - 8 ohm = 230 watts per channel 3 channels - 8 ohm = 250 watts per channel 2 channels - 8 ohm = 275 watts per channel 1 channel - 8 ohm = 300 watts per channel XPA-2: 300 watts RMS/ channel into 8 ohms 1,000 watts RMS bridged 4. Should I get XPA-2 OR XPA-5 (if my center need power)? Please help Thanks.

Read this thread - the bottom two posts specifically. I'd recommend the XPA-2 or XPA-3 - depending on the answer to the question "What is more important - movies or music"?

Movies If I get XPA-5, will unused power goes to the channels being used? 2 channels - 8 ohm = 275 watts per channel 3 channels - 8 ohm = 250 watts per channel Thanks.

Get the XPA-5. I have one driving my L/C/R and 2 surrounds. Great product. Make room in your rack for this beast. ;D

XPA2 and 3 will be a good match for Rt12 especially for home theater. I have the same set up and I'm happy with it. You can add XSP1 for music and you will be amassed it sounded like a different speakers.

Hi, I am a newbie in this site and planning to buy emotiva XPA3. I currently have monitor audio RX6 as fronts and RX centre powered by onkyo tx-nr 708. The reason I liked to buy xpa3 is to augment 708s power. I currently biamped Rx6 with 708's surrounds and heard a big difference but still trying to know if it's because of upgrading my speaker wires or toeing in the fronts a little. Anyway, my question is how can I biamp my RX6 with xpa3? Would there be a problem if I use 2 channels of xpa3 to power the RX6's bass woofer while leaving the surround channel of 708 connected to power Rx6's tweeter/mid? Or leave 708 biamping the RX6 while xpa3 biamping the RX centre?
Hoping to hear some suggestions from you guys. Thanks
