I just ordered an Oppo BDP 103 for Christmas...
Does anyone have any takes regarding the BDP-103's audio performance over analog vs. HDMI? Other than DSD only being output via the HDMI out is there any difference? The Cirrus Logic DACs on board the 103 are very similar to the Burr Browns in my Yamaha....
Thanks,
Mike

With the caveat that I do not have the BDP-103, I can say from what I know that there will be no perceptible difference. If you're going to be using DSD then simplify your setup and go with HDMI. OTOH, no harm in trying out the analog connections to see if you prefer those.

Thanks Hemster...sounds like good advice. If I had the funds to pick up the 105 I would definitely do analog for the connection due to the Sabre DACs. HDMI will also give me the ability to easily use the gracenote and OSD options. I'll use the dual HDMI out though so I can take full advantage of the Qdeo video processing.....
