Does the XPA-5 have a higher rated power in 2 channel (like the XPR and the UPA-500)?
Has anyone benched this amp to see what the actual rated power is? Emotiva seem to bench better than what they rate it.

Yes it does have a higher rated power in 2 channel. Unfortunately I don't know what that is.

Any idea if the same info applies to the UPA-500...are there similar specs somewhere for that model?

Thanks for the link geebo. It looks like the the XPA-5 is not too far off the XPA-2 in 2 channel. Does any know if there are any major drawbacks using the 5 over the 2 for music, other than that the XPA-2 power rating is a little bit higher?
jvs, check audioholics, they did a review of the UPA-500 a few months ago and they did measured ratings. It rated much higher in 2 channel.
