Hey All, Don't recall anyone discussing this previously: LightDimsFor those that don't like the brightness of the LED lighting on their home theater equipment. Not an ad for this product, just found it very interesting. C

I use these on real bright lights and they work great. They sell 2 models as one is total black out and the other is semi transparent. The sheets they come with are a lot of sizes for all kinds of buttons.

This looks like great solution to a somewhat vexing problem. And those folks are making some pretty good coin selling those little dots. Nonetheless, I will probably be ordering a set for my system...

Ordered 12 packs as the price is better and the sizes are not listed in case I need the largest ones of which there are only 3 per pack.
Hoping to tame the power lights on the UMC/UPA units but still have them somewhat functional.

I'd be interested in your opinion of how well they work.

They would work really well if you could fit them over the button and just cover the circumference where most if not all of the hallo effect is?

Yes, I might look at finding a suitable punch to make the right sizes centre hole, although I think I will need the whole button covered - I may have to go down the nail varnish route. I currently have black tape ovver everything which is not the best look.

Yes I order 2 of the 4pack deals. what's the nail varnish route? buying black nail varinish and painting it over the offending lights, the more layers, the darker it gets.

Great, I hope mine will arrive next week. How many of the circles big enough to cover an Emotiva power button are in each pack?

Great, I hope mine will arrive next week. How many of the circles big enough to cover an Emotiva power button are in each pack? there are three per pkg, they only cover the logo emblem not the outer area. have not used them on the power button. I have used them though on the xda 2 , erc 2 and xsp 1 function buttons. you place them on the button centered and they work fine. I like the 100% black out ones the best. the erc 2 was little more tricky because of how close the buttons are to the face. good luck experiment. Im going to try and cut some larger circles out of the large customizable sheet I order also.

That's what I figured, so I ordered 12 packs. Let me know how you get on with the cutting, I'm thinking some kind of die/punch the right size would be best, maybe a filed cookie cutter.

The 100% blackouts work the best for me. they are a tad heavier and keep there shape better. Im just floating them on the button not attached to the face at all. I've cut some quarter size from the 50% to 80% customizable sheets. placed them on the power buttons but had to also attach to face plate. you'll see when you experiment with yours. good luck.

Thanks, they arrived today. I wonder would it be possible for the makers to do some kind of 3D forming of them and make custom "over button" ones, might be worth shooting them a mail.
