It isn't often that I will go out of my way to give a call out to a software product.
Symantec System Recovery Desktop is a great backup product and has saved me twice during the last year. The new 2013 version is due out soon and can be found in distribution for < $60.
SSR will do full backups of a drive and/or incremental backups. Backups can be automated on a schedule or run manually. You can also do a cold metal backup from the supplied CD or build a thumb drive up with the system.
Highly recommended!

I have been using, with great success, a FREE backup program called EasUS ToDo Backup. Do a Google search. The software is absolutely free for home (non-commercial) use. And it appears it does everything that the Symantec Backup does...

I have been using, with great success, a FREE backup program called EasUS ToDo Backup. Do a Google search. The software is absolutely free for home (non-commercial) use. And it appears it does everything that the Symantec Backup does... -RW- CNet lists it as freeware, but the EasUS ToDo web site says its a trial version that expires in 15 days?
