Looks like they're going to go for around $500 and change... for people local to SF.

So just out of curiosity I auditioned several B &W speakers, CM and 800 series, they were great!!!
ERT 8.3 does great for 10% of the cost
Hopefully the new Reference will get the job done as well.

Still extremely happy with my 8.3s as well.

I'm back, and bumping this post for posterity.
I'm in the market for a pair again...life got in the way but the issues are resolved.
Thanks

We've seen a few photos on a new reference line (a tower and a monitor) but no specific information on when they might be available or any information about performance. Ribbon tweeters were apparent in the photo of the tower. The monitor looks to be a more traditional circular/dome tweeter.....although it was hidden behind a round grill. That's all I know.

I'm not holding my breath, the X-REF was such a step down in quality from the ERT's that it would take some pretty serious effort to change my want list at this point.

I really love mine too, or should I say 4!
I don't think I have heard anything for the price that compares. Still don't know how I would change my current set up without breaking the bank.
The only change I might consider is a different processor. Emotiva amps and speakers have been great.
