Thank you all for your patience in regards to the announcement that Dan discussed on the last Podcast. We have lots of big news in the coming months, but the big announcement will happen at the end of the month. Stay tuned! I promise Dan will keep his promise. ;D Jessica, As long as it is not simply lip service & birthday announcements again. I would rather hear nothing than fluff or promises of information to come that never happens. CH So I take it you never watch any television or listen to the radio? ;D Or talk to management at work? ;D

Hi Folks
Jumped on a XPA-200 after being duly impressed with the UPA-2 I got last week to power my surrounds, trying it out on my mains it gave my Bryston 4BST a run for it’s money so the XPA may close the gap. Two XPA-100’s would have leveled the playing field, but space is at a premium.

Geebo, that C12 is sah-weeet! Thanks. I'm very happy with it and I'm getting some Emo silver trim to make it match the rest of the gear in my rack.

Hoping for XMC-1. I really need (ok, want) to replace my Denon. Maybe a new Denon will satisfy?

I picked up a Mini-x too. I'm using it in my back room setup with an old Onkyo preamp and a Phillips 312 turntable. I like the closeness of the setup since the TT is at my right side - lift the dust cover flip the LP and drive on for another 30-45 minutes! I'm not lazy but it is handy to have the TT so close. I can also play CDs. The Mini-x is quite the amp. I'm impressed with it.

This week I received the XPA-200. I didn't have time to unbox it earlier, until yesterday evening. It is replacing my old Yamaha AX-1050. It will drive the two rear channels. I had a limited time to listen to them. I got time to listen to a part of Santana DVD Supernatural live, and a part to the Toto DVD Live in Amsterdam. For both I selected the DTS channel. I think it sounded a little better then before, although it does not make a difference of day and night. The main reason for getting this new amp was the smaller form so it can fit better in the new cabinet. I hope in about a month time the new custom build cabinet will be ready. The picture is of the soon to be replaced cabinet. You can recognize the UMC-1, the XPA-2 driving my fronts, and the brand new XPA-200. Attachments:

My XPA-200 also showed up yesterday, just plopped it on a coffee table in front of everything else and will let it settle in for a few days. Not too sure where it will go, but I was so impressed with the UPA-2 I added recently for the surrounds thought I’d give the XPA-200 a serious listen. It’s competing with the Bryston 4BSST (bottom right corner) but so far it’s holding it own even with half the watts.
