I thought one came w/the XPA-5 you bought...check to make sure whether there's one in the box or not.

You can get one from Monoprice or Radio Shack. It would be about the same price by the time you paid shipping and wouldn't have to wait.

3.5mm mono male to mono male cable (also called 1/8" or mini jack). (Stereo cable might work but not all of them) 2 each 6' shipped for $3.56. See below, 2' and 10' also. deepsurplus.com/Home-Theater-Audio-Video_2/3-5MM-Mono-Male-to-Male-Cables/6ft-3-5MM-Mono-Male-to-Male-Audio-Patch-Cord?whence=" Remote Trigger Input/Output – The XPA‐1 can be remotely triggered by another device, and in turn, remotely trigger another device. When a remote trigger output from a preamplifier, processor or other audio device is connected to the trigger input here, the amplifier will power up and shut down along with the first device. Another device (CD player, amplifier, etc) can be added to this chain using the trigger output. A 3.5mm, 5‐12 volt mono audio cable is used for both inputs and outputs. If building your own cable, center is positive and outer shield is negative."

Use the 12v male to male power cable. Various lengths are available. Most Emo stuff comes with one if it has 12v trigger capabilities.

Thank guys! My amp came in this afternoon and I've been stuck at work and will be here for another hour I plan on playing all weekend! Also, another question, do I just use regular audio RCA cables to connect the pre/pro to the amp? Thanks again!

tattooDan,
I always told my children that there is a stupid question. It is the one you don't ask. Why, because you remained stupid.

Radio Shack if ones local can get you going now. Online takes to much time sometimes especially for something as simple as a trigger.

My XPA-5 came with a trigger cable, it's fitted into the insulation block that surrounds the amp.
Cheers Gary
