Mine does as well, and my UPA-500 and UPA-1's never did in the same system and on the same electrical circuits, it doesn't seem to affect the sound quality so I'm not overly worried.

The transformer is humming. No real way to fix it, unless you replace the transformer.
It does no harm.

The hum is not the real issue it's the buzz that comes and goes
The hum is not loud as I can't hear it from listening position but the buzz can be heard
The funny thing is it does it sometimes its not a continuous buzz.
The other thing I hear the same type of buz from other parts if the house especially in the subwoofer amp of my Logitech pc speakers.
I even ran a dedicated 20amp circuit and it still makes the buzz.
The funny thing is it did not do thus before when I bought it.
Can solar panels start making this buzz on the line
If only I could find out what is causing it

Do you have a dimmer, running washing machine/refrigerator etc that may be causing it? Try thesimplest signal path to your amp and swap out your other components to isolate what is causing it to make sure it is the amp

That's why I put a direct line to the power box to a 20amp circuit breaker to eliminate appliances on the same circuit can they still interfere even if they are not on the same circuit

My XPA-5 has a very, very slight internal hum as well. Not audible from more than 1-2' away, so I don't worry about it. It doesn't affect sound or performance in any way.

No buzz from my XPA-5, so it's most likely not 240 volt 50 hz related. An Onkyo AVR that I still have originally had a buzz, it was a loose mount, tightened it up and no more buzz. So maybe try and isolate the the exact location and see if you can identify the source.
Cheers Gary

Spoke to an electrician today and he thinks it could be a rf signal interfering as the buzz or as he would call it electrical noise is the same rhythm all the time
The only thing that is rf is the harmony 900 where as its the loudest where the xpa5 is but in the study its the softest will try unplugging to see if it gets rid off it

You might want to call your power company, if it's a rfi problem. They can confirm if it is a problem on your side or theirs. In most cases they may be able to pinpoint source for you if it's in your house, so you can have it taken care of.
